A Great Day to be Alive ...

Sing it with me ...
"...And it's a great day to be alive,
I know the sun's still shinin' when I close my eyes.
There's some hard times in the neighborhood,
but why can't every day be just this good?"
Have you ever woke up and just decided ... no matter the circumstances today is going to be a good day. I have come to that point in my life. Call it maturity, call it a spiritual thing, call it whatever you want. Life is too short to be grumpy. Period. We have so much to be thankful for. I know for me, I can hear two little voices playing in the playroom that makes me feel so incredibly thankful right now. I have an aroma of spices cooking in my crockpot right now for dinner. That is something to be thankful for. I am blessed with clothes on my back, a car to drive, a home to keep me warm. I could go on and on.
I started this post with the intention of posting Kolt's Player of the Game picture from Saturday. And I will. But when I sat down to do it, I started singing that song and then thought, ya know - it really is a great day to be alive and why can't everyday be just this good? Fact is, that it can. We all make that choice the minute we open our eyes. Focus on the negative or focus on the positive? Your pick.
And the original reason of the post: this munchkin here :) He blesses my heart on a daily basis. And when he gets on the football field, even though he is smaller than everyone else - he plays his little heart out.
Isn't that how we should live life?
No matter how small we may seem in such a BIG world, we should always play our little hearts outs ...
