Hush Bottles

Our time-outs normally go something like this, thirty seconds go by and it's a constant "Can I come out now..." and "I'm sorry. I prayed. Is my time up..." for the remaining time-out. And it drove me batty.

 

These were a Pinterest find and a fabulous one I might add. They are called "Hush Bottles" and the idea came from My Crazy Blessed Life. I only tweaked one thing: I used the Great Value brand flavored water bottles (they were only .68 a piece). The boys had fun making them and it has especially helped Kruz with his time outs :) The thought behind them is a relaxation process, great for calming down anger and getting too hyper. The glitter will take about 5 minutes or so to settle, so they are also used as a "timer" for them as well.

Got to love Kollin and Kolt in their undies working on a project :) And thank goodness for Daddy's help, glitter glue + three little boys can get a bit messy...
