Windows, Swings And Scripture ...

I have some major posts going on in my mind and in my heart, but I'm just not quite there yet with exactly what to write, so I'll just ramble here a little bit before I head to bed.

Yesterday was the first day I stayed home all.day.long in nearly 3 weeks. Imagine the bliss

No grocery store.
No karate.
No errands.

It was wonderful and joyous and nothing short of amazing

And this weather. This weather. It's getting to me y'all. My giddiness is getting worse with each passing day that the temperature rises just a little more. I love having the windows open and watching the curtains blow around. And I love the smell of the freshly cut yards and the flowers in bloom. And the squeaky swings. I love the sounds of squeaky swings. With the squeaky swings comes laughter and so many "Bet you can't go higher than me"s.

The boys stayed in play clothes all day and I in my beloved yoga pants. All four of them got so dirty it took at least 15 minutes of straight scrubbing in the shower to get their feet somewhat clean. I love it.

Flowers from Kruz. Not too shabby huh?

My morning devotion time has moved outside too and talk about magnification. There is nothing quite like reading His Word in the midst of His work. This morning I read Psalms 25:4-5 over and over and over again:

"Lord, tell me your ways.
    Show me how to live.
Guide me in your truth,
and teach me, my God, my Savior.
I trust you all day long."

I just love that. The words tell, show, guide, teach - and then the word trust. I guess it hit me right smack in the heart this morning. I ask for these things from the Lord day in and day out.

"Lord, tell me the words to say to my children."
"Lord, guide me as a mother and wife."
"Lord, teach me how to handle my struggles."

Do I do my part though? Am I trusting in Him for these things? Or merely just asking? Just a thought I guess for me. Something I need to work on and pray on - He does His part, am I doing mine? Am I trusting Him?

So yea. This post was totally random. From windows to swings to scripture.
